Study Rooms
Study rooms are focused spaces where you and other members can meet, chat, and make progress together in real time.
What Are Study Rooms?
A study room is a dedicated area on Waycode for a specific topic, goal, or time‑boxed session. Each room has:
- • A title and description so people know what the session is about
- • A list of members currently in the room
- • A chat area for messages and quick updates
- • Space for tasks, resources, or links relevant to the session
Creating a Study Room
- 1
Choose a topic and goal
Decide what the room is for (e.g., "Calculus revision" or "LeetCode practice") and set a clear goal for the session.
- 2
Set privacy and timing
Pick whether the room is public or invite‑only, and optionally choose start/end times if it's a scheduled session.
- 3
Invite members
Share the room with study partners or invite specific people. Invited members can accept or decline.
Joining & Leaving Rooms
You can browse available rooms or accept invitations from other members.
- • Join public rooms that match your interests and level
- • Accept invitations to private rooms created by friends or teammates
- • Leave a room at any time if you're done or need a break
When you enter or leave a room, other members can see your presence so they know who is currently active.
Chat, Tasks & Resources
Inside a study room, everything is centered around staying focused and accountable.
Real‑time chat
Use the message area to share quick updates, ask questions, or keep each other motivated during the session.
Shared tasks
Rooms can include a lightweight list of tasks or goals for the session, so everyone knows what they're working on.
Resources
Add links, references, or files that are useful for the current topic, so members don't need to search elsewhere.
Best Practices for Great Sessions
- ✓Start the session by sharing your goals and time plan.
- ✓Use short check‑ins (e.g., every 25–30 minutes) to track progress.
- ✓Keep the chat focused on the topic to avoid distractions.
- ✓Be respectful of others' time and noise levels.
